Add to CalendarThe California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop to provide an overview of the state of the market for firm zero-carbon resources to support reliability and the potential of hydrogen for the power and transportation sectors. It will include insights from CEC staff analysis in these areas, a discussion of clean firm capacity needs by load-serving entities (LSEs) and publicly owned utilities (POUs), and presentations from technology developers. The workshop provides an opportunity for stakeholders and interested members of the public to gain insights into the state of development for firm zero-carbon technologies and hydrogen. The information gained from this workshop will help guide the development of Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) chapters on firm zero-carbon technologies and hydrogen.
This workshop is part of the 2025 Integrated Energy Policy Report (2025 IEPR) proceeding. Chair David Hochschild is the CEC’s lead commissioner for the 2025 IEPR with Vice Chair Siva Gunda as the associate commissioner. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted, and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. It may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
The public can participate consistent with the attendance instructions below.
