Add to CalendarThe California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop to discuss the informational proceeding concerning mid-transition petroleum supply stabilization, including evaluation of the refiner minimum inventory and resupply planning provisions of Assembly Bill (AB) X2-1 (Stats. 2024, 2nd Ex. Sess. 2023-2024, Ch. 1). AB X2-1 requires the CEC to consider the effects of refiners’ inventories of fuel and feedstocks and blending components on the price of transportation fuels in California. AB X2-1 also authorizes the CEC to consider ways to minimize the impact of maintenance-related production losses on fuel prices, while protecting the health and safety of employees, local communities, and the public.
The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted, and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
