Add to CalendarThe California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a remote-access workshop to review draft results for the 2025 Integrated Energy Policy Report (2025 IEPR) energy demand forecast load modifiers and utility energization requests. Load modifiers include data centers, behind-the-meter distributed generation and storage, additional achievable energy efficiency, additional achievable fuel substitution, and additional achievable transportation electrification. Estimated impacts from utility energization requests (also referred to as “known loads” under the distribution system planning process) will also be discussed, but they are not load modifiers.
This workshop is part of the 2025 IEPR proceeding. Chair Hochschild is the CEC’s Lead Commissioner for the 2025 IEPR with Vice Chair Gunda as the Associate Commissioner.
The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted, and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
