Add to CalendarThe California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a two-day workshop to examine California’s geothermal energy resources and benefits to the state, as well as challenges and strategies to developing these resources. This workshop will convene June 19, 2026, and July 9, 2026, both days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This workshop is part of the 2026 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) Update proceeding. Chair David Hochschild is the CEC’s lead commissioner for the 2026 IEPR Update. Commissioner Noemí Gallardo is associate member for the topics of California geothermal resources and energy equity and environmental justice.
The CEC aims to begin each day of the workshop promptly at the start time posted, and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed schedule. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions.
