The California Energy Commission (CEC) is seeking public comments on the Draft Senate Bill 605 Wave and Tidal Energy Report to the Governor and Legislature. Senate Bill (SB) 605 directs the CEC to evaluate the feasibility, costs, and benefits of wave and tidal energy off the coast of California. The report is available on the CEC’s SB 605 Wave and Tidal Offshore Renewable Energy and also in Docket No. 24-SB-605.

The CEC will host a remote-access workshop to present and gather feedback on the draft report on September 30, 2026. Written comments will be due on November 3, 2026.

The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
