California Building Energy Code Compliance (CBECC) is the public domain compliance software developed by the California Energy Commission (CEC) to demonstrate performance compliance with the residential, nonresidential, and multifamily regulations in the Energy Code.
The following CBECC research software is provided by the CEC for public review and testing. This software is intended for research only, not valid for compliance, and is subject to change.

Note: CBECC 2028.0.1 RV is based on the 2025 rules and standard designs in CBECC 2025.2.0, with the following updates:
- Long-term System Cost, Source Energy, and weather data have been replaced with 2028 Energy Code Accounting Metrics.
- This version only supports nonresidential modeling.
