Raisin City School District applied for grant funding under the California Energy Commission (CEC) Solicitation GFO-17-607 to replace three old, diesel-powered school buses. Raisin City School District was awarded funding for one replacement compressed natural gas school bus. Raisin City School District placed a purchase order for one compressed natural gas school bus with the grant funding received from the CEC and placed this bus into service in June 2020. The old, diesel-powered bus was dismantled and removed from service.
