Localized Health Impacts Report: Projects Awarded Funding Under Solicitation GFO-24-604 — Reliable, Equitable, and Accessible Charging for Multifamily Housing 3.0

This Localized Health Impacts Report describes the potential health impacts to communities from projects seeking California Energy Commission (CEC) funding under competitive grant solicitation GFO-24-604, “Reliable, Equitable, and Accessible Charging for Multi-family Housing (REACH) 3.0.” This grant initiative seeks to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure at multifamily housing sites, particularly those in low-income and disadvantaged communities. CEC staff has proposed nine projects for awards under Solicitation GFO-24-604. Each of these projects has multiple locations. Based on project site information provided by the awardees, 68 of the 133 communities where these projects are located are considered high-risk communities. Staff does not anticipate a net increase in the pollution burden for the communities where these projects are located.
