On the site you will find a high-level summary of the work to date in the following areas:

  • Clean & Renewable Energy: In 2023, California served 67% of its retail electric sales with renewable and clean energy resources and is on track to achieve 100% by 2045.
  • Clean Transportation: California has sold more than 2.5 million new zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) as of 2025.
  • Energy Efficiency: California created the nation’s first standards for buildings and appliances. These rules have saved Californians more than $200 billion on energy costs.
  • Innovation: The CEC provides grant funding for programs advancing new and innovative technologies that benefit Californians and reduce costs. One such program, the Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC), has invested $1.5 billion to date across 602 projects.
  • Equity & Tribal Partnerships: As of 2024, 50% or more of program investments went to disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and/or tribes across seven CEC programs. The CEC’s Tribal Program has awarded more than $165 million in grants to date for tribal microgrids and other clean energy and climate work.
