The CEC conducts assessments of all aspects of energy industry supply, production, transportation, delivery and distribution, demand, and prices. The CEC develops these assessments and forecasts of the state’s electricity and gas markets, including statewide and regional electricity and natural gas demand, incorporating factors that affect future demand growth, such as changes in economic activity, demographic trends, climate change, and energy and environmental policies. Common inputs and assumptions utilized by the CEC will be captured in this section.
