2006 California Commercial End-Use Survey
A stratified random sample of 2,790 commercial facilities was collected from the service areas of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), Southern California Gas Company (SoCal Gas), and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). The sample was stratified by utility service area, climate region, building type, and energy consumption level.
For each utility service area, floor stocks, fuel shares, electric and natural gas consumption, energy-use indices (EUIs), energy intensities, and 16-day hourly end-use load profiles were estimated for twelve common commercial building type categories.
