Corsair Memory, Incorporated (Corsair) is a company that manufactures computers based in Milpitas, California. Corsair sold or offered for sale desktop computers, high expandability computers, workstations, and mobile gaming systems in California, from November 2019 to November 2023.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Corsair was manufacturing and offering for sale Corsair and Origin PC brand desktop computers, high expandability computers, workstations, and mobile gaming systems that did not meet the efficiency standard and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Corsair executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on January 8, 2026, for $497,325.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code 25402.11. Corsair has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
