Foremost Imports LLC (Foremost Imports) is a Laguna Hills, California based company that manufactures plumbing products. Foremost Imports sold or offered for sale showerheads, tub spout diverters, and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations in California, from October 2019 to December 2023.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Foremost Imports was manufacturing and offering for sale showerheads, tub spout diverters, and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations that failed the marking requirement and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Foremost Imports executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on October 1, 2024, for $3,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Foremost Imports has agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales in California, and will add the appropriate marking, test, and certify all models to MAEDbS if they sell in California in the future.
