Foshan Rbrohant Import and Export Company, Limited (Foshan Rbrohant) is a Jiujiang City, Jiangxi, China based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. Foshan Rbrohant sold or offered for sale lavatory faucets, showerheads, and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations in California, from March 2018 to June 2022.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Foshan Rbrohant was manufacturing and offering for sale lavatory faucets, showerheads, and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations that did not meet the efficiency standard and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Foshan Rbrohant executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on November 22, 2022, for $9,600.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Foshan Rbrohant has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models and to test and certify the compliant models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
