Franke Home Solutions North America, LLC, dba Faber, Inc. (Faber) is a company that manufactures fans and dehumidifiers based in Smyrna, Tennessee. Faber sold or offered for sale residential exhaust fans in California, from October 2021 to October 2025.

This case was the result of a complaint. CEC’s investigation process identified that Faber was manufacturing and offering for sale residential exhaust fans that were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Faber executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on June 17, 2026, for $14,603.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code section 25402.11. Faber has also agreed to a compliance plan to certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
