Guangzhou Kongshanwuji Trading Company, Limited (Guangzhou Kongshanwuji) is a company that manufactures miscellaneous refrigeration products based in Guangdong, China. Guangzhou Kongshanwuji sold or offered for sale wine coolers in California, from September 2020 to September 2024.

This case was the result of a complaint. CEC’s investigation process identified that Guangzhou Kongshanwuji was manufacturing and offering for sale Kingchii brand wine coolers that were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Guangzhou Kongshanwuji executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on August 5, 2025, for $52,817.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code 25402.11. Guangzhou Kongshanwuji has also agreed to a compliance plan to certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
