Holekamp Products, LLC (Holekamp) is a Beaumont, Texas, based company that manufactures showerheads. Holekamp sold or offered for sale showerheads in California, from July 2015 to June 2019.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC's investigation and testing process identified that Holekamp was manufacturing and offering for sale showerheads that failed the marking requirement and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Holekamp executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on May 28, 2020, for $70,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Holekamp has also agreed to a compliance plan to remove any instructions directing the customer to remove the flow restrictor, add the appropriate marking, and certify all compliant models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
