Lexora, Incorporated (Lexora) is a Secaucus, New Jersey based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. Lexora sold or offered for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations in California, from March 2020 to January 2022.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Lexora was manufacturing and offering for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets and showerhead-tub spout diverter combinations that did not meet the efficiency standard and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Lexora executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on April 25, 2023, for $8,580.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Lexora has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models.
