Olimpia Splendid USA (Olimpia) is a company that manufactures non-central air conditioning and heat pump products based in Lewisville, Texas. Olimpia sold or offered for sale portable air conditioners in California, from July 2021 to July 2025.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Olimpia was manufacturing and offering for sale Dolceclima brand portable air conditioners that did not meet the efficiency standard and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Olimpia executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on February 26, 2026, for $46,695.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code section 25402.11. Olimpia has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models and test and certify compliant models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
