Proox Kitchen and Bath, Incorporated (Proox Kitchen) is a company that manufactures plumbing fittings based in Aurora, Colorado. Proox Kitchen sold or offered for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets and showerhead-tub spout diverters in California, from July 2018 to June 2022.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Proox Kitchen was manufacturing and offering for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets, and showerhead-tub spout diverters that did not meet the efficiency standard, were not marked properly, and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Proox Kitchen executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on August 7, 2025, for $12,700.00.The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code 25402.11. Proox Kitchen has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of the non-compliant model, and, add the appropriate marking and certify all additional models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
