RoyPow (USA) Technology Co., Ltd. (RoyPow) is a company that manufactures electronics based in Commerce, California. RoyPow sold or offered for sale federally regulated battery chargers in California, from March 2020 to March 2024.

This case was the result of a complaint. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that RoyPow was manufacturing and offering for sale RoyPow brand federally regulated battery chargers that were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, RoyPow executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on December 3, 2025, for $240,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code section 25402.11. RoyPow has also agreed to a compliance plan to test and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
