Sanven Technology Ltd, (Sanven) is a company that manufactures pool products, plumbing fittings, non-central AC & HP products, fans and dehumidifiers, and refrigeration products based in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Sanven sold or offered for sale replacement dedicated purpose pool pump motors, showerheads, kitchen faucets, portable air conditioners, residential exhaust fans, and coolers in California, from June 2019 to September 2024.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Sanven was selling and offering for sale Vevor brand replacement dedicated purpose pool pump motors that did not meet the design standard and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS). Sanven also sold or offered for sale showerheads, kitchen faucets, portable air conditioners, residential exhaust fans, and coolers that were not certified to MAEDbS.

To resolve this matter, Sanven executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on June 20, 2025, for $100,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code 25402.11. Sanven has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models, re-design their replacement dedicated-purpose pool pump motors, and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
