Wenzhou Furuisi Jiancaaiyouxiangonsgi (Wenzhou) is a company that manufactures plumbing products based in China. Wenzhou sold or offered for sale kitchen faucets, lavatory faucets, and showerheads in California, from January 2021 to January 2025.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Wenzhou was manufacturing and offering for sale Forious and Furuisi brand kitchen faucets, lavatory faucets, and showerheads that did not meet the efficiency standard, were not marked properly, and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To resolve this matter, Wenzhou executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on December 4, 2025, for $112,027.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount as required in Public Resources Code section 25402.11. Wenzhou has also agreed to a compliance plan to redesign the non-compliant model to meet the efficiency standard, add the appropriate marking, and test and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
