The California Energy Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) staff will conduct a joint workshop to discuss building decarbonization policy goals and program implementation ideas. The workshop is part of the 2019 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) proceeding. A quorum of commissioners may be in attendance, but no votes will be taken.

The purpose of this workshop is for CPUC and Energy Commission staff to present a joint staff proposal for the implementation of SB 1477 (Stern, Chapter 378, Statutes of 2018), and for stakeholders to provide feedback. The proposal will be submitted into the record for CPUC proceeding R.19-01-011 and will provide a roadmap for implementing two programs authorized under Senate Bill 1477 Building Initiative for Low-Emissions Development (BUILD) and Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH).
