Public Scoping Meeting - Environmental Impact Report for the Proposed 2022 Update to the Building Energy Efficiency Standards

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a remote-access public scoping meeting via Zoom on April 9, 2021, starting at 10:00 a.m., to discuss and receive comments on the scope of the environmental impact report (EIR) that CEC staff is preparing under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the proposed 2022 update to the Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Energy Code) (Title 24, Part 6). All interested parties, agencies, and members of the public are welcome to participate and comment.

The workshop will be held remotely, consistent with Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20 and the recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, to encourage physical distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the direction in these executive orders. Instructions for remote participation via Zoom are below.
