Please join us for an upcoming Demand Analysis Working Group (DAWG) meeting on Wednesday March 20, from 9:00-11:00 am, to discuss a newly developed additional achievable fuel substitution scenario for gas system planning and other building electrification topics. The meeting will be held via webinar-only.

 

Attendees are strongly encouraged to ask questions and provide critical feedback on the topics below. Suggestions for additional relevant topics or questions about the topics below are welcome though may not be addressed at this upcoming meeting.


The key topics of discussion for this DAWG meeting will be:

  • Alternative characterization of upcoming local and statewide zero-emission appliance standards for an additional achievable fuel substitution (AAFS) load modifier scenario (referred to as “AAFS 2.5”) that can be used for gas system planning.
  • Comparisons of the AAFS 2.5 scenario preliminary results to the 2023 IEPR forecast load modifier results, namely AAFS scenario 2 and AAFS scenario 3
  • Status of the 2024 California Gas Report process and schedule
  • Overview of PG&E's methodology for developing their building electrification forecasts
