CA Energy Demand Forecast: Known Loads

Please join us for an upcoming Demand Analysis Working Group (DAWG) meeting on Wednesday, August 12, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This meeting will focus on known loads (energization applications), how to estimate their impacts, and how to incorporate them into the Planning and Local Reliability Scenarios. Known loads are applications for energization at the distribution system level and are the basis of distribution system planning for the IOUs.

Topics include:

• Overview of known loads
• Summary of known load data received in June 2026
• How utilities consider known loads in distribution planning
• Treatment of known loads in CEC Planning and Local Reliability scenarios

The meeting will be virtual only. Zoom information is at the bottom of this notice.
