CA Energy Demand Forecast: 2026 IEPR Load Modifiers Draft Results

To interested parties:

Please join us for an upcoming Demand Analysis Working Group (DAWG) meeting on Wednesday, November 4th, from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm, to discuss the California Energy Demand Forecast load modifier draft results for the 2026 IEPR. The meeting will held as a Zoom webinar. Zoom information is at the bottom of this notice. 

Attendees are strongly encouraged to ask questions and provide critical feedback on the topics below. 

The key topics of discussion for this DAWG meeting will be to provide an update on how CEC staff plan to proceed with known loads and to discuss the draft results for the following forecast components:  

• Behind the meter PV and storage 
• Additional Achievable Transportation Electrification (AATE) 
• Additional Achievable Fuel Substitution (AAFS) 
• Data centers 

Staff will also present new or updated methods for:

• LSE sales forecasts
• POU hourly model development
• Commercial and industrial sector forecast models
