The California Energy Commission (CEC), in collaboration with the Port of Long Beach, will host a symposium to explore the pivotal role that ports and port communities play in California’s growing offshore wind economy. This event will convene a diverse set of partners to discuss port upgrades necessary to achieve offshore wind, climate, and environmental goals; developing a new offshore wind workforce in port communities; and working together to improve portside communities.
A quorum of commissioners from the CEC may participate, but no votes will be taken.
The public can participate in the symposium consistent with the attendance instructions below. The coordinators aim to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda.
