Staff Workshop 2025 Energy Code Heat Pump Baselines, Solar Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Requirements

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a public workshop to present and discuss proposed changes related to heat pump baselines, solar photovoltaic system requirements, and energy storage requirements for the 2025 update of the Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Energy Code) – including requirements in the Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6) and voluntary energy efficiency provisions in CALGreen (Title 24, Part 11). These proposed updates aim to further encourage the use of cost-effective and technically feasible energy efficient building practices in the state.

The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC plans to begin promptly at the start time posted. The end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
