Please join us for an upcoming Demand Analysis Working Group (DAWG) meeting on Wednesday, August 21, from 10:00am-4:00pm, to discuss California Energy Demand Forecast updates for distributed generation, economic and demographic inputs, and Additional Achievable Energy Efficiency (AAEE) and Fuel Substitution (AAFS) inputs and assumptions. The meeting will be hybrid with options to attend either in-person or by webinar. The meeting will be held in conference room 2-310 on the second floor of the California Natural Resources Agency building located at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA. Zoom information is at the bottom of this notice.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to ask questions and provide critical feedback on the topics below. Suggestions for additional relevant topics or questions about the topics below are welcome though may not be addressed at this upcoming meeting.
The key topics of discussion for this DAWG meeting will be the updates and inputs for:
- Distribution generation
- Historical behind-the-meter solar photovoltaic and storage adoption trends
- Hourly PV profiles
- Proposed adoption scenarios
- Baseline technology cost projections
- Technology cost model sensitivity analysis
- Title 24 changes within 2025 Building Standards
- Updated economic and demographic projections
- Additional Achievable Energy Efficiency (AAEE) and Fuel Substitution (AAFS) inputs and assumptions
- Proposed scenario characterizations for statewide and local Air Quality Management District (AQMD) building electrification adoption rates
- Updates to the Fuel Substitution Scenario Analysis Tool (FSSAT)
