Staff Workshop and Extended Pre-Rulemaking Comment Period on Water Closets Proposed Standards

On November 6, 2024, the California Energy Commission (CEC) published the draft staff report, Analysis of Proposed Efficiency Standards for Water Closets (Toilets), to seek comments from interested members of the public and a notice to host a public workshop to discuss proposed standards for water closets on December 12, 2024. The draft staff report includes proposed standards and staff’s analysis. The proposed standards for water closets would be considered as amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20, Code of Regulations, Sections 1601 through Section 1609).
