Workshop: Energy Storage Permitting Guidebook - Guidance for Behind-the-Meter Installations

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop for grant recipient, The Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE), to seek input on the Draft Energy Storage Permitting Guidebook: Guidance for Behind-the-Meter Installations (Draft Guidebook), funded under the Electric Program Investment Charge, or EPIC Program (EPC-19-026).

This meeting will be open to the public online and by phone through Zoom. The CEC welcomes all interested members of the public to attend, including organizations that interact with energy storage permitting, specifically Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and energy storage system installers. The public may participate in the meeting consistent with the attendance instructions below. CEC aims to begin promptly at the posted start time. The posted end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time. Interested participants, or their authorized representatives, may present oral and written statements at the public workshop. Written feedback will also be accepted through 5:00 p.m. PT on October 10, 2025.
