CA Energy Demand Forecast: 2025 IEPR Load Modifiers Draft Results

Please join us for an upcoming Demand Analysis Working Group (DAWG) meeting on Thursday, October 30th, from 1:30 pm-4:30 pm, to discuss the California Energy Demand Forecast for load modifier draft results for the 2025 IEPR. The meeting will be hybrid with options to attend either in-person or by webinar. The meeting will be held in the Lake Tahoe conference room on the third floor of the California Natural Resources Agency building located at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA. Please RSVP to DAWG email, DAWG@energy.ca.gov, if you are attending in person so we can plan to escort you to the third floor. Zoom information is at the bottom of this notice.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to ask questions and provide critical feedback on the topics below. Suggestions for additional relevant topics or questions about the topics below are welcome, though may not be addressed at this upcoming meeting.

The key topics of discussion for this DAWG meeting will be to discuss the draft results for the following forecast components: 

• Behind the meter PV and storage
• Additional Achievable Transportation Electrification (AATE)
• Additional Achievable Energy Efficiency (AAEE) and Fuel Substitution (AAFS)
• Data centers
• Utility ‘Known Loads’ project data used for distribution system planning
• Improvements to the methodology to calibrate sector end use model results with historical data
