Staff Workshop and 60-day Pre-Rulemaking Comment Period for Commercial Dishwashers Proposed Standards

California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will host a public workshop to discuss draft standards and analysis for commercial dishwashers and to seek comments from interested members of the public regarding the draft staff report, Analysis of Proposed Efficiency Standards for Commercial Dishwashers. The draft staff report for commercial dishwashers includes standards under consideration and staff’s analysis. The proposed standards for commercial dishwashers would be considered as amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20 of the California Code of Regulations, Sections 1601 through 1609).

The public can participate in the workshop by following the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted, and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.

The draft staff report was published on March 10, 2026, and public comments will be accepted both orally at the workshop and in writing up to May 12, 2026.
