In April 2021, the California Energy Commission (CEC) released a Grant Funding Opportunity entitled “Second Block Grant for Light-Duty Electric Vehicle Charger Incentive Projects” (GFO-20-607) to seek up to two block grant implementers to design and implement incentive projects for the deployment of light-duty electric vehicle chargers. CALSTART, Inc. (CALSTART) was awarded an agreement for up to $250 million at the CEC’s December 2021 Business Meeting. The incentive project under this agreement will be named Communities in Charge.

CEC staff and CALSTART will collaborate to design Communities in Charge incentive projects with public input. Please utilize this docket to submit comments, view events and their supporting documents, or to contact CEC staff. Inquiries related to this incentive project can also be sent directly to CALSTART.
