2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards Approved Computer Compliance Programs
The California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) has approved the following energy analysis computer programs that includes all Alternative Calculation Methods approved for the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (2019 Energy Standards) in accordance with the California Code of Regulations: Title 24, Part 1, Article 1, Section 10-109.
The individual programs are listed below under specific categories. These are the only programs authorized to be used under the performance approach (energy budget) method of compliance for the 2019 Energy Standards.

Residential Buildings, 2019 Standards

CBECC-Res 2019.2.0 was approved 9/8/2021 for demonstrating performance compliance with the residential provisions of the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Permit applications made on or after 1/1/22 must use CBECC-Res 2019.2.0. Download CBECC-Res 2019.2.0 setup (.exe file) CBECC-Res 2019 versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 shall continue to be approved for demonstrating performance compliance with the residential provisions of the 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards until 12/31/21. EnergyPro 8.3 was approved 12/31/2021 as an alternative calculation method for demonstrating performance compliance with the residential provisions of the 2019 California Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Permit applications made on or after 1/1/22 must use EnergyPro 8.3 or newer software. Previously approved EnergyPro versions; 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2; are no longer valid for demonstrating compliance. Right-Energy Title 24 |
Wrightsoft Right-Energy Title 24 Version 2019.1.1 was approved on 02/20/2020 as an alternative calculation method for demonstrating performance compliance with the single family residential provisions of the 2019 California Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Wrightsoft Right-Energy Title 24 Version 2019.1.1 is not valid for permit applications made on or after 1/1/22. |
