Building commissioning is a quality assurance process. This process begins during design and continues through occupancy. Commissioning verifies that the new building and its systems are planned, designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained as the owner intended. Commissioning also ensures that the building staff is prepared to operate and maintain its systems and equipment.
