A system that provides heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is more commonly referred to as an HVAC system. Types of HVAC systems include split systems, mini-split systems, and packaged systems. When these systems are installed, they must comply with the Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Energy Code) to ensure energy efficient operation, provide thermal comfort, and improve indoor air quality.
