This report summarizes the work completed by Ecology Action for the Multifamily EV Accelerator Project. Ecology Action installed 384 EV charging ports at 43 multifamily housing communities to promote EV ownership among low- and moderate-income apartment renters. Additionally, the project team canvassed 2,701 apartment units/households to educate multifamily residents about the benefits of EV ownership and model options, incentives for purchasing EVs and how to use the EV charging stations installed. 40 of the 43 EV charging installation project sites were affordable multifamily housing communities for low-income households. The outcome of this work demonstrates a successful EV charging direct installation model for multifamily housing in priority communities.
