Public Records Act Requests

Submit a Public Records Act Request in Person

The Public Records Act (Gov. Code, ยง 6253) provides two rights of access:

  1. The right to inspect public documents during office hours.
  2. The right to prompt availability of copies of public records.

There is no charge to inspect documents in person. Visit during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

There is a fee of 10 cents per page for copies of documents. If time is needed to collect the requested materials, you will be contacted when they are available. The Energy Commission will charge a postage fee in addition to the print fee if the documents are mailed.
