California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will co-host a virtual tour with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator and Cleantech San Diego to showcase new clean energy technology solutions that can improve the reliability of the electric grid while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

This virtual tour is part of the CEC’s administration of the Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC). EPIC invests more than $130 million annually in new technology breakthroughs to transform the electricity sector to meet California’s energy and climate policy goals and bring increased benefits to electric ratepayers in the state’s three largest investor-owned utilities – Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E).

A quorum of commissioners from the CEC and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) may participate, but no votes will be taken.

The virtual tour will be held remotely, consistent with Executive Orders N-25-20 and N29-20 and the recommendations from the California Department of Public Health to encourage physical distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19. The public can participate in the event consistent with the direction in these executive orders. Instructions for remote participation are provided below.
