Possible Adoption of CalEHP Guiding Principles at Business Meeting and Notice of Availability

The Revised Draft Guiding Principles for the California Electric homes Program (CalEHP) is now available for review.

The CalEHP Draft Guiding Principles were initially presented at a March 17, 2022, workshop followed by a written comment period. Proposed updates to the document are contained in the Revised Draft Guiding Principles and shown in underline/strikethrough format with proposed language appearing in underline and
proposed deletions appearing in strikethrough. In addition to non-substantive edits and formating changes, the proposed updates include:

• Addition of Abstract, Executive Summary, and Program Administration sections.
• Deletion of Grid Resiliency language.
• Clarified portions of the Key Program Elements Mandated by Statute section.
• Addition of provision clarifying that, to the extent reasonable, the CEC intends for CalEHP incentives to be offered in localities with different approaches to local building codes.
