Staff Workshop - Mechanical Acceptance Test Technician Certification Provider, Certification Implementation Plan

California Energy Commission staff will conduct a workshop to discuss the certification implementation plan for the mandatory certification requirements for nonresidential mechanical acceptance testing.

Agenda

Staff has developed a plan to implement the possible Energy Commission decision to make certification mandatory for technicians to perform the mechanical acceptance tests required by the Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Staff will present this plan in detail and solicit public comment with the following agenda:

• Threshold Requirements
• Implementation Issues
• The Certification Implementation Plan
• Next Steps
