Acceptance Test Technician Certification Provider Program - ATTCP

Acceptance Test Technicians perform required tests for lighting controls and mechanical systems in nonresidential buildings. The California Energy Commission’s approved Acceptance Test Technician Certification Providers (ATTCP) train, certify, and oversee the technicians and their employers.

  • ATTCP Annual Reports – The Building Energy Efficiency Standards require providers to submit a signed certification that they meet all the program requirements. 
  • ATTCP Update Reports – After the Energy Commission initially approves the provider, it must report any changes to the approved application after each subsequent Building Energy Efficiency Standard is adopted.
  • Provider certification rulemaking from the 2013 Building Energy Efficiency Standards.
