California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will conduct a series of remote-access workshops to discuss the Electric Program Investment Charge 2021-2025 Investment Plan (EPIC 4 Investment Plan) and solicit public input on specific research topics to inform the plan. While these are staff workshops, Commissioners may attend and participate, but no votes will be taken. The workshops will be held on the dates indicated in the workshop notice.

This workshop will discuss the challenges new clean energy technologies face to becoming bankable. In addition, this workshop will discuss what role the CEC can fill in helping new clean energy technologies and start-up companies become bankable, especially as they scale beyond their initial demonstration projects.

The workshops will be held remotely, consistent with Executive Orders N-25-20 and N29-20 and the recommendations from the California Department of Public Health to encourage physical distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19. The public can participate in the workshops consistent with the direction in these executive orders. There will be opportunities for public comment. Instructions for remote participation via Zoom or telephone are below.
