Gas R&D Workshop

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a remote-access workshop that is structured into two sessions. In Session I staff will discuss the Public-Interest Natural Gas Research and Development (Gas R&D) Program’s proposed energy-related gas research initiatives for fiscal year (FY) 2022-23. In Session II, Guidehouse, a contractor, will provide an update on the development of a Long-Term Natural Gas Research Strategy that will inform future Gas R&D Program investments.

Commissioners may attend the workshop, but no votes will be taken.

This meeting will be held remotely, consistent with Assembly Bill 361 (Rivas, Chapter 165, Statutes of 2021) to improve and enhance public access to state meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic by allowing broader access through teleconferencing options. There will be opportunities for public comment. Instructions for remote participation via Zoom are below.

Please note that the CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the agenda proposed. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time depending on various factors.
