Advanced Battery Bankability and Manufacturing Readiness Center Funding Concept

California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will host a remote-access workshop to discuss funding for an Advanced Battery Bankability and Manufacturing Readiness Center (Center) concept. CEC staff will incorporate public comments received at the workshop into a future competitive solicitation to select an organization to establish and operate the Center. The purpose of the Center is to provide battery technology stakeholders with access to key services, expertise, and facilities to accelerate the development and adoption of new advanced battery technologies into electric transportation applications, stationary energy storage applications, and other battery-powered clean energy applications.

A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
