Add to CalendarThe California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a remote-access workshop to gather information on processes and timelines for interconnection and energization of clean energy resources such as electric vehicle chargers and distributed solar and storage with electricity distribution systems. Speakers from state agencies and utilities will discuss ongoing initiatives to improve interconnection and energization processes as well as distribution system planning. This workshop will also feature presentations from developers and researchers providing recommendations for how to accelerate interconnection and energization of clean energy resources on the electric distribution grid in support of reaching climate goals.
This workshop is part of the 2023 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) proceeding. Commissioner Patty Monahan is the CEC’s Lead Commissioner for the 2023 IEPR. A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.
The public can participate in the workshop as described below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
