Staff Workshop and 60-day Pre-Rulemaking Comment Period for Landscape Irrigation Controllers Proposed Standards

The California Energy Commission (CEC) Efficiency Division will host a public workshop to discuss proposed standards for landscape irrigation controllers and to seek comments from interested members of the public regarding the draft proposed regulations and the draft staff analysis report. The proposed standards for landscape irrigation controllers would be considered as amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20, Code of Regulations, Sections 1601 through Section 1609).

The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.

The draft staff report, which includes the draft proposed regulations and the draft staff analysis, was published on November 8, 2023, and public comments will be accepted both orally at the workshop and in writing up to January 8, 2024.
